Policy makers today face a variety of new and evolving challenges. To help meet them, the School of Public Policy & Governance at the University of Toronto has developed a dynamic Executive Education Program for policy professionals.
Participants in this program will deepen their understanding of government and public-service delivery; gain new skills, perspectives, and insights; and have the opportunity to learn from and share ideas with their peers and international thought leaders.
Executive and Professional students will examine the contexts and perspectives necessary to address complex policy issues and manage change in the public sector. Working collaboratively, and focusing on case studies, participants will learn how to apply new concepts to today’s real-world issues.
In our courses, participants can expect
- facilitation by internationally recognized, multi-disciplinary faculty with significant policy experience;
- course design tailored to meet specific learning objectives and policy contexts;
- collaborative delivery through the inclusion of guest speakers from the public, non-profit, and private sectors;
- student-centred, active learning;
- small-group, cohort-based classes;
- a supportive learning environment and close personal focus; and
- ongoing quality assessment and review of course material and design.
